A couple of heartthrobs from two of the biggest boy bands, from the 1990s and 2000s, will join forces for a unique show in Newcastle.
Boyzlife, the musical supergroup formed by Brian McFadden (Westlife) and Keith Duffy (Boyzone), is landing at the Civic Theatre on Friday 4 April.
And, the audience can experience an unforgettable evening of revered anthems, including My Love, World of Our Own, Swear It Again, Uptown Girl, If I Let You Go, Picture of You, No Matter What, Words, Baby Can I Hold You and many more esteemed hits.
“The whole concept of the band at the start was that we wanted to do an autobiographical show,” Duffy explained.
“We wanted to tell our life experiences through the music rather than write it in a book.
“So, we created Boyzlife.
“Now our collaboration brings together the nostalgic appeal of Boyzone and Westlife, together with an amazing ‘live’ show.”
When Boyzlife first hit the road, combining their talents to perform tunes from both of their former bands as well as new material, they never imagined that six years later they would be playing to thousands of fans worldwide.
Collectively, McFadden and Duffy – with their ex-outfits – have sold more than 55 million records worldwide, enjoying a whopping 17 No. 1 singles in the UK alone.
The former was also a regular visitor to Australia, appearing as a guest judge on Australian Idol in 2009 and then Australia’s Got Talent a year later.
Lately, Boyzlife has continued to tour extensively, adding new music, never-before-heard stories and experiences to their iconic catalogue while playing to audiences all over the world, performing to hundreds of thousands of fans in the process.
General public tickets for the Civic Theatre show are on sale from 11am on Thursday 1 August.
