A report is being prepared for the information of the Coroner after a motorcyclist died in the Upper Hunter on Sunday morning.
Emergency services were called to Yarrawa Road, Yarrawa, about 34km south-west of Muswellbrook, about 10.40am on 11 January upon receiving news of a crash.
Officers attached to Hunter Valley Police District arrived to find a bike had left the roadway and crashed into a pole.
The rider, a man believed to be aged in his 70s, was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics for serious injuries.
But, sadly, he died at the scene.
He’s yet to be formally identified.
Police are now investigating the incident.
