A report is being prepared for the information of the Coroner after a motorcyclist died in an accident near Cessnock on Sunday morning.
Emergency services were called to Sandy Creek Road, Mount Vincent, about 8.30am on 25 January following news of a crash.
Officers from Hunter Valley Police District arrived to find a bike had left the roadway and hit a tree.
The rider – a man believed to be aged in his 60s – was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics for serious injuries.
Sadly, he died at the scene.
He’s yet to be formally identified.
Police are currently investigating the incident.
