Newcastle-based Aussie Racing Cars driver Cody McKay is hoping to capitalise on a strong 2024 when he begins his 2025 season this weekend.
The Darby Street businessman, who’s known for his dedication to high-performance vehicles and competitive racing, will launch into the Toyota Gazoo Racing Australia Scholarship Trophy Series at Sydney Motorsport Park from Friday 21 March.
This marks his fourth campaign in the category… with last year proving to be his most successful yet.
And, he’s primed to build on that in 2025.

“I took home multiple trophies, including a coveted second-place finish in the Masters Cup,” McKay said.
“So, we had an amazing season.
“With several podiums and even a ‘best presented’ category award, we’re fired up and ready to get back on the track.
“We can’t wait to show our sponsors, fans and competitors that we mean business.”
Aussie Racing Cars are purpose-built vehicles famous for their compact size and serious speed.
Powered by a 130hp Yamaha motorbike engine (1300XJR) and weighing only 500kg (including driver), they can reach up to 230km/hr.
Following the season opener in the big smoke, McKay and his Aussie Racing Cars team will hit the road for an ambitious seven-round program, from Perth to Tasmania, alongside the Supercars and Superbikes series.
