A 70-year-old man is recovering in hospital after a water tank rolled on him in Mindaribba, north of Maitland, yesterday.
The Westpac Rescue Helicopter was tasked by NSW Ambulance at about 1.40pm (Saturday 4 August) after the incident was reported.
Paramedics and the Helicopter Critical Care Medical Team arrived on scene and commenced treatment of the male who suffered back and chest injuries after the water tank that was on a trailer shifted and pinned him between the tank and a post.
The gentleman was treated and stabilised by emergency services. He was conveyed by road to John Hunter Hospital by paramedics with the Critical Care Medical Team escorting the patient where he will receive further treatment.
