A report will be prepared for the Coroner after a man died in a multiple vehicle accident near Singleton this afternoon.
About 1.45pm on Sunday 28 February, emergency services were called to Putty Road, Putty, after two cars crashed head-on.
Tragically, the driver and sole occupant of one of the vehicles died at the scene.
The man has not yet been formally identified.
The three occupants of the other car have been taken to hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
Officers from Hunter Valley Police District established a crime scene and are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
