A young man has been charged with murder after allegedly stabbing another male to death during a fight in a beachfront suburb.
The 20-year-old was arrested on Monday night after emergency services were called to a property on Buff Point Avenue in Buff Point, a suburb on the Central Coast, over reports of an assault at about 8pm.
He and a 42-year-old got into an altercation, during which the older man was allegedly stabbed.
Police said the two males knew each other.
Paramedics attempted to treat the 42-year-old, but he could not be saved.
The 20-year-old was arrested nearby and taken to the Gosford Police Station, where police charged him with murder.
He spent the night behind bars and will appear in court on Tuesday 7 April.
