A Hunter man has been charged after attacking another male at a service station in Aberdare last month.
About 6pm on Tuesday 28 March, a 27-year-old was attending the business on Aberdare Road when he was approached by a 23-year-old.
A short verbal argument ensued, before the younger man allegedly shoved and hit the older male several times in the head and chest.
Officers, attached to Hunter Valley Police District, began an investigation into the incident.
And, following extensive inquiries, police from Port Stephens-Hunter Police District attended a residence in Farley about 2pm on Wednesday 12 April, where they arrested the 23-year-old man.
He was conveyed to Maitland Police Station, where he was charged with affray.
The man was refused bail to appear before Maitland Local Court on Thursday 13 April.
