A kind-hearted Maitland mum can’t wait to pay her hefty $200,000 windfall forward.
After winning the Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot on Friday 20 February, the Lower Hunter resident plans to support her family and local animal sanctuaries with her prize.
But, incredibly, the woman had no inkling such a bounty was headed her way.
“Have I won $10,000? Wait, is it more?” she questioned.
“Oh my god, oh my god… I’m crying.
“Am I dreaming? I just pinched myself, and I felt it! I’m not dreaming.
“The most I’ve ever won on lotteries is $80.
“I’ve never thought about withdrawing $200,000.”
The generous mother admitted she was “so grateful” to receive the news.
“My family is really doing it tough right now and I can help them,” she said.
“The timing’s absolutely perfect; I can’t wait to tell my sister.
“I’m a big animal lover, so I could probably buy two more dogs.
“I’ll also donate even more to the local animal sanctuaries… they mean everything to me.”
Her winning entry of five random numbers was purchased on The Lott website.
The Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot prize is $25.36 million for draw 1771, while the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot prize is sitting at $1.15 million for draw 11062.
