A Cessnock man says his week has been turned around in the best way possible after taking home $200,000 in the latest Lucky Lotteries draw.
The thrilled winner scored the first prize in Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw 1520, drawn Tuesday 23 February.
Sharing his excitement with an official from The Lott this afternoon, the man explained he’d just checked his ticket and discovered the news.
“Thank you,” he gushed.
“It feels really good. I am very excited.
“I just went to the newsagency and checked my ticket.
“It was such a surprise; it just feels like it’s meant to be.
“I’ve had a tough start to the week, so this is certainly a sign that things are looking up.
With a spare $200,000 about to hit his bank account, the Cessnock resident said it was time for a home makeover.
“I am going to get some renovations done around the house,” he explained.
“There are a few things that really need some attention, and now I don’t have to worry about it.
“I can call in the professionals, which will be great.”
The happy winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased his winning entry at Cessnock West Newsagency, 119 Wollombi Road.
The Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot prize is now $6.28 million for draw 1521, while the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot prize is $2.97 million for draw 10445.
In 2020, 141 Lucky Lotteries first prize and jackpot winning entries across Australia amassed more than $48.61 million.
During this time, the biggest Lucky Lotteries prize was won by an Ermington woman who claimed a Mega Jackpot prize of $11.73 million in January.
