Lotto Strike lottery loot music to Cessnock woman’s ears

SHARE

A Cessnock woman can’t wait to celebrate and sing her heart out at Ed Sheeran’s concert on the weekend.

Especially, knowing her bank account is about to be boosted by a $164,000 Lotto Strike win.

The local resident held the only division one winning entry in draw 5246 on Wednesday 22 February.

It allowed her to bank a total prize purse of $164,666.15.

An official from The Lott reached out to the winning woman this morning who was still coming to terms with her discovery.

“Oh my god! I’m still in shock,” she laughed.

“I checked it straight after the draw last night and I was dumbfounded.

“Things like this never happen to me.

“I play Monday & Wednesday Lotto and Saturday Lotto all the time.

“I definitely didn’t expect this.

“There are a few things we’ve been wanting to do.

“We had to postpone a COVID holiday in 2020, so now we can finally go on our overseas trip.

“We will pay off some bills and our mortgage too.

“My husband will want to buy a boat knowing him.

“Thank you so much.”

Her victorious 19-game QuickPick was purchased online at thelott.com – the official home of Australia’s lotteries.

The winning numbers in Lotto Strike draw 5246 were 21, 29, 10 and 16.

Lotto Strike is an add-on game played with Saturday Lotto and Monday & Wednesday Lotto.

Its division one prize is won by selecting the first four numbers in the exact order they are drawn during the Lotto draw.

If no one picks all four winning numbers in the draw in same order drawn, the Lotto Strike Jackpot prize pool will jackpot for the next draw.

The Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached 281 so far this financial year, including 86 won by NSW Lotteries customers.
