Eager lottery officials are on the hunt for a mystery winner, who may reside in the Maitland LGA.
They’re calling on Tenambit residents and visitors to check their Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot tickets following draw 1758 on Friday 23 January.
It’s understood the player holds the first prize entry – and a neat $200,000 windfall.
If they’d been part of The Lott Members Club and registered their ticket, officials from The Lott would have already alerted the person to their bounty.
Instead, they’re keenly waiting for the mystery ticketholder to check their ticket and come forward.
The winning entry was purchased from Tenambit Newsagency and Gifts in Maize Street.
The Lott spokesperson Eliza Wregg said she looked forward to uniting the region’s latest major lottery winner with their prize.
“Our mystery person is likely oblivious to the fact they’ve won $200,000 in the Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw,” she explained.
“Can you imagine discovering you’ve started the new year $200,000 richer?
“It’s the kind of surprise that could make 2026 the year to chase your dreams, pay down the mortgage or finally book that long-awaited holiday.
“We’re urging anyone who purchased a ticket from Tenambit Newsagency and Gifts to check theirs [today] because you could be who we are searching for.
“But, this is also an important reminder for players to register their tickets to a player’s card or online account with The Lott Members Club, so if they do score division one, we can reach out with the exciting news.
“If this person realises they’re the mystery winner we’re searching for, they can phone us on 131 868 to begin the prize claim process.”
The Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot prize is now $22.48 million for draw 1759, while the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot prize is now $630,001 for draw 11058.
