Little Chick supports charity

SHARE

Little Chick Dreams of Change (LC) is an activist jewellery brand designed and made by

Barbara Nanshe, to empower personal space.
The brand, which features a pendant set made of recycled sterling silver, is a vegan product using recycled packaging.

“Wearing Little Chick prompts us to follow our dreams, speak out and act for what we believe in,” Nanshe says.
“If you empower the person, you empower the community. Empower the person, change the world.”

For the past seven years, Little Chickhas donated $10 from every sale to The Native Animal Trust Fundto support its wildlife rescue work in the Hunter. The charity will be presented with another cheque at an upcoming event at Barbara Nanshe Studio.

This year marks a change of beneficiary to Trees in Newcastle,(TIN), which turns 30 this month. Donations will support their work propagating local native plants, supporting biodiversity and the local environment. TIN now resides at Belmont State Wetland Park.

The Little Chick Dreams of Changeevent will have several features. Jen Denzin will

“make place” with a recycled plastic installation; enjoy Live music by Paris Grace; Fee Mozley will speak on Re-Storying Women’s Creative Power; a raffle will raise money for TIN and Port Stephens Koalas, with five great prizes to win; all the environmental organisations will have information stands and TIN will be selling local native plants.
