Global pop phenomenon Robbie Williams will take to the stage at McDonald Jones Stadium for the first time in 2026.
The illustrious hit-maker, thanks to the smash singles Let Me Entertain You, Angels, Rock DJ, Kids (with Kylie Minogue), Feel, Better Man, Love My Life and Supreme, is scheduled to appear on Tuesday 17 November.
His Newcastle appearance caps a busy month for Hunter music-lovers, with the Foo Fighters (12 November) and Guns N’ Roses (8 December) also performing at the same outdoor venue this year.
Williams last toured Australia in 2023 to promote XXV, headlining the AFL grand final entertainment at the MCG.
And, he’s without doubt one of the finest male stars of his generation, having sold more than 85 million albums, 14 UK number one albums (the most for any solo artist, equalled only by Elvis Presley) and 14 number one singles.
That’s not to forget his incredible success as a member of Take That, too.
“Australia’s one of my favourite places in the world to tour,” he said.
“I feel so at home there and hugely appreciate the warm, loving welcome I always receive.
“I can’t wait to spend time with my fans again.”
On this occasion, Williams is showcasing his 13th offering, Britpop, a record that’s close to his heart.
It’s already produced five tracks: Rocket featuring Black Sabbath guitarist Tony Iommi, Spies, Human (with Mexican duo Jess & Joy), Pretty Face and All My Life.
“I set out to create the album that I wanted to write and release after I left Take That in 1995,” he said.
“It was the peak of Britpop and a golden age for British music.
“I’ve worked with some of my heroes on this album; it’s raw, there are more guitars and it’s an album that’s even more upbeat and anthemic than usual.
“There’s some ‘Brit’ in there and there’s certainly some ‘pop’, too.
“I’m immensely proud of this as a body of work and I’m excited for fans to hear it.”
Tickets for the Newcastle leg of the Britpop World Tour go on sale on Thursday 26 March.
