Last chance to visit Ahead of the Curve at PACC

SHARE

Time is running out to experience Ahead of the Curve: Australian Modern Quilts at Performance Arts Culture Cessnock (PACC).

The popular exhibition will wrap up at 2.30pm on Saturday 31 January.

So, it’s the final opportunity for locals and visitors to the vibrant and thought-provoking survey of contemporary quiltmaking.

Coordinated by renowned curator Tara Glastonbury, Ahead of the Curve brings together a striking collection of modern quilts that place the curve – both technically and creatively – at its centre.

The display showcases works that balance improvisation with precision, bold colour with subtle detail, and tradition with innovation.

Throughout the gallery, guests are invited to explore quilts that push the boundaries of textile art.

The featured artists embrace risk and experimentation, using the curve not just as a visual element, but as a way to rethink process and expand the expressive language of quilting.

And, to mark the final day of the exhibition, everyone’s invited to attend a free curator talk with Glastonbury from 11am on Saturday 31 January.

The intimate chat offers a unique chance to gain deeper insight into the ideas, artists and techniques that shape contemporary quiltmaking in Australia.

However, an RSVP (online) is required.

Whether you’re a textile enthusiast, contemporary art lover or simply curious, this is your last chance to experience this exceptional exhibition before it closes.
