Kids Rule Feature: September 2020

With the school holidays nearly upon us, let this ‘Kids Rule Feature’ be your guide to some of the awesome activities on offer both in and around the Hunter Region. You’ll also find this guide on page 13 of our latest edition.

Newcastle Entertainment Centre

LEGO

Newcastle Entertainment Centre (NEC) will host Brickman Awesome, Ryan’s third exhibition made entirely from LEGO bricks, featuring 36 models, none of which have been seen in Newcastle before, and which took a mammoth 5,000 hours to build from just under one million LEGO bricks.

Visitors will be forgiven for thinking they have stepped inside a zoo, as they find themselves surrounded by a LEGO kangaroo, koala, penguins and even a full-sized LEGO Australian saltwater crocodile, weighing over 60kgs and built using more than 40,000 LEGO bricks.

You won’t want to miss an enormous Orca whale and the largest ever LEGO Caterpillar 797 dump truck.

The Big Banana

The Big Banana Fun Park has a whole “bunch” of fun in store for you these school holidays with the return of the

This pass is valid for 1 full day from 9am to 5pm and includes access to the biggest Water Park between Sydney and the Gold Coast, 4D ride simulator, 36 hole mini golf course, laser tag, the biggest giant slide in the country, world of bananas theatre and tour, ice skating and toboggan ride.
