Australian superstar and four-time GRAMMY Award winner Keith Urban will kick off his 2025 High and Alive World Tour in Newcastle.

He’ll take to the stage at the entertainment centre on Wednesday 13 August, with other shows scheduled for Brisbane, Wollongong, Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide.

Urban, who joined wife Nicole Kidman in the crowd for Sir Elton John’s concert at McDonald Jones Stadium in January 2023, is a regular visitor to the Hunter.

He last performed at Newcastle in 2022 to rave reviews.

The announcement also follows the release of his new album, High, on 20 September, which includes the singles Wildside, Straight Line, Go Home W U with Lainey Wilson and Messed Up As Me.

Those tracks, as well as No. 1 hits One Too Many (with P!nk), Wasted Time, Somebody Like You, Parallel Line, The Fighter (with Carrie Underwood) and Long Hot Summer, are expected to feature prominently on the Newcastle set list.

Urban has spent the better part of his life harnessing a deep-seated passion for music. 

This, when combined with his authenticity, talent and driving musical inquisitiveness, helps to understand why he is one of the most successful and well-respected artists in the world.

He’s won four GRAMMY Awards, 13 CMAs (including two as Entertainer of the Year), 15 ACMs, three AMAs, two People’s Choice Awards and celebrated nine consecutive gold, platinum or multi-platinum albums.

His latest offering, High, is a musical journey, intentionally sequenced through themes of what it is to be alive, human connection, cutting loose, huge hook chorus’, hope, nostalgia, shredding solos, straight-up fun and some personal life revelations. 

But, his concerts have become legendary – as unpredictable as they are explosive.

Joining Urban on the tour will be one of country music’s boldest emerging voices, Chase Matthew.
