Jobs: Holiday park looking for new summer staff

A surge in Christmas holiday bookings has led to the need for 220 additional summer casual staff at holiday parks along the east coast.

Byron Bay, Cairns and the Great Ocean Road are among the iconic locations on offer.

With NSW and Victoria borders reopening and the rest of the country set to ease as vaccination rates hit milestones, Ingenia Holiday Parks needs staff to keep up with a 44% increase in summer bookings.

Ingenia Holiday Parks general manager Tourism Matthew Young said there were a variety of roles available at some of Ingenia’s most popular venues.

“This is a fantastic opportunity to work in some of Australia’s greatest holiday destinations, with positions at some of our most iconic locations including Cairns, Byron Bay and Great Ocean Road,” he said.

“From housekeeping attendants, cooks and guest experience officers, to park managers and grounds and maintenance supervisors, there are plenty of jobs up for grabs.”

As well as experience in the tourism sector, Ingenia Holiday Parks offers a number of perks including a comprehensive discounts and rewards program and flexible hours and shifts.

“With domestic restrictions easing for the first time in almost two years, pent up demand is driving a big rise in domestic holidaying over the New Year period,” Mr Young said.

“And as the country starts to open up, our summer casual staff will be ready, receiving on the job training and experience in the booming domestic tourism sector.

“Not only that, they will have the chance to work for an Australian owned and operated company, helping to rebuild our $81 billion industry and reshape the next age of travel.”

Mr Young says bookings are rising across Australia, with families locking in a long-awaited beach trip, with many areas now booked out until next year.

“Everyone is looking forward to their holidays and there are a lot of people who are due for a much needed break.

“With 40 parks up and down the east coast, we have great experiences for travellers of all ages and interests – from the epic Splash Waterpark at Cairns Coconut in Queensland, and whale watching at Byron Bay, to experiencing the world-class surf in Torquay – there really is something for everyone at Ingenia Holiday Parks.”
