A Belmont retiree thanked the heavens above the moment she heard the news she won $100,000 in the latest Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot draw.
The Hunter resident secured the 1st Prize in Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot draw 10452, drawn on Tuesday 6 April.
When an official from The Lott got hold of the woman to break the news today, she had no idea $100,000 was about to land in her bank account.
“Oh sh*t,” she laughed.
“Right. Thank you very much.
“That will be very handy.
“I had no idea. No idea at all.
“I’ve been playing Lucky Lotteries for years, so this is wonderful.
“I really can’t believe it. I’m so overwhelmed.
“Good heavens. I’m floating on air.”
When asked how she might enjoy her lottery windfall, the loving grandmother thought of her family immediately.
“I have lots of grandchildren and children,” she explained.
“So I have plenty of people to share it with. It will certainly go far and wide.
“It will make things a lot easier.”
The winning entry of one random number was purchased at Duncan’s City Newsagency, Shop 21, Belmont City Centre, 41 Macquarie Street, Belmont.
Duncan’s City Newsagency owner Ian Duncan said he was over the moon for their latest winner.
“I’m so pleased to see this prize go to a local and regular customer,” he stated.
“It’s fantastic news for the woman and also the community.
“Everyone is so happy for her and we really hope she enjoys her prize.”
The Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot prize is now $7.73 million for draw 1527, while the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot prize is currently $4.01 million for draw 10453.
In 2020, 141 Lucky Lotteries 1st Prize and Jackpot winning entries across Australia won more than $48.61 million.
