Police are appealing for public assistance to help locate a 12-year-old girl reported missing from the Hunter.
Shanae Ford was last seen in Abermain about 2pm on Monday, 13 July.
After she could not be contacted or located, officers from Hunter Valley Police District were notified on Tuesday, 14 July, and began inquiries into her whereabouts.
Police and Shanae’s family are concerned for her welfare due to her age.
Shanae is described as being of Caucasian appearance, between 165cm and 170cm tall, with a medium build, dark hair and brown eyes.
She is known to spend time in the Abermain, Cessnock, Maitland, Rutherford and Lake Macquarie areas.
Police are urging anyone who has seen Shanae, or who has information about her whereabouts, to contact Cessnock Police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
Information can also be provided anonymously through Crime Stoppers.
Anyone who sees Shanae is asked to contact police as soon as possible.
