Breakout Hunter Valley golfer Joshua Fuller has earned his stripes, achieving professional status after a string of impressive performances.
The 24-year-old has worked at The Vintage Golf Club for the past seven years while building an impressive amateur career before moving into the professional ranks.
After taking up golf at the age of eight, Fuller said attaining professional status is something he’s worked towards for as long as he can remember.
“Professional status is something I’ve dreamed about for a long time and it’s incredibly rewarding to finally reach this milestone,” Fuller said.
“I’ve been fortunate to grow up surrounded by such a supportive golfing community and to now take this next step as a professional means a great deal.
“I’m excited for what’s ahead and grateful to everyone who has played a part in helping me get here.”
A career highlight came when Fuller represented his home club on one of Australian golf’s biggest stages at the 2025 Ford NSW Open at The Vintage Golf Club, competing alongside Australia’s leading professionals and elite amateurs in front of family, friends and the local Hunter Valley community.
His amateur achievements also include winning the 2021 Tasmanian Open, the 2022 District Championship and the 2023 Tasmanian Amateur Championship.
Last year, Fuller finished runner-up at the Concord Cup, claiming the Regional Championship, a top five finish at the Country Championships, and reaching the semi-finals of the Queensland Amateur Championship.
Jodie Staples, Director of Sales and Marketing at The Vintage Golf Club, said Fuller’s achievement is one the entire club is proud to celebrate.
“It’s been wonderful to see Joshua’s journey over the past seven years and we’re thrilled to see him take this next step into the professional ranks,” Staples said.
“He’s worked exceptionally hard and is a wonderful example of the calibre of talent coming through the Hunter Valley.
“Having represented The Vintage at last year’s NSW Open, it’s exciting to now see him embark on his professional career.

Fuller now joins a growing list of professional golfers affiliated with The Vintage Golf Club, including Corey Lamb, who is currently on the PGA Tour of Australasia.
The club will once again welcome many of the country’s leading professionals when it hosts the NSW Open in November.
