Hunter motorists will face changed overnight traffic conditions on the Golden Highway, from the New England Highway to Range Road, next week.
The temporary closure, near Whittingham, is necessary to allow the completion of a new roundabout.
The project will connect drivers from the Golden Highway to the New England Highway, as well as the latest flyover bridge.
Transport for NSW has scheduled the work to take place from 7pm to 6am from Monday 16 October until Saturday 21 October.
“Motorists will be detoured via Range Road and the New England Highway,” a spokesperson said.
“Weather permitting, we expect work to be completed by 6am on Sunday 22 October.
“But, the detour will probably add up to 10 minutes of extra travel time.
“So, motorists are advised to plan ahead, drive to the conditions and follow the directions of signs and traffic control.
“We thank everyone for their patience during this time.”
