A giant red Elmo has been sitting atop Hunter businesses in recent weeks, a clue that something spectacular was heading to Newcastle.
And, it has arrived.
Sesame Street Circus Spectacular recently added the final touches to its all-ages show, set to welcome audiences under the big top from now until 1 May.
It comes after more than 18 months of planning, border closures and COVID restrictions.
The 90-minute show is making its debut at Richardson Park Reserve in Hamilton North.
The circus spectacular boasts incredible artists from Argentina, Switzerland, Brazil, Morocco, Spain, Africa and Australia who will leave audiences spellbound with their daring performances.
Add to that your favourite Sesame Street characters including Elmo, Cookie Monster, Bert and Ernie and Super Grover.
Every element within the new show has been developed for the tour, including the original Sesame Street voices that were recorded in New York especially for this production.

This event has COVID-19 protocols in place, and is opening with all government agency guidelines approved.
