Lambton Pool will host a free Community Day on Sunday 23 October.Â
Between 1pm and 4pm, the turnstiles will open to swimmers of all ages, those who love to splash and water babies both big and small.
The large outdoor facility will be overflowing with recreational features including a diving pool, 100m water slide and aquatic splash park.
Afternoon activities will include a giant inflatable obstacle course, guessing competition, live entertainment and spot prizes.
There will also be a sausage sizzle available for $2 during the event.
The Lambton Swimming Centre was developed as the City of Newcastle’s (CN) first inland swimming pool and was opened in 1963.
An average of 184,000 people visit the popular facility annually.
