Make Father’s Day extra special for your dad this Sunday by purchasing a gift that could help support people living with cancer.
The Hunter Melanoma Foundation (HMF) has created Father’s Day Gift Packs in a bid to raise money for the vital work it does within the community.
The foundation’s Executive Officer, Claudia Tolhurst, said the packs were a great example of local collaboration.
“We are thrilled to again use local businesses to produce gift packs for all the dads in our community,” she said.
“We have combined HMF gifts, as well as local wines, to create a pack that we know your dad will love and that will also help us raise a few dollars for the foundation and local businesses.”
Throughout the pandemic, HMF has continued to create alternative ways for people to donate to the charity.
“Melanoma impacts people’s lives every day – even during a pandemic, our role is to provide support to people living with melanoma, as well as remain committed to educating people around checking and protecting their skin against this deadly disease,” Ms Tolhurst said.
“We appreciate any donation and, through our Father’s Day gift packs, we hope to raise a few extra dollars towards some education and support and programs, but also put a smile on each father who receives a pack.”
Ms Tolhurst, who is the only employee of HMF, will personally deliver each order for free this Friday 4 September, ahead of Father’s Day (Sunday 6 September).
The HMF Father’s Day Gift Packs include a range of goodies, including bottle of either Moscato, Reserve Chardonnay or Merlot from Gemelli Estate, HMF canvas hats, golf umbrellas and more.
