Flights to and from Newcastle Airport look set to resume tomorrow, as the weather conditions continue to ease.

Flights were previously grounded due to flooding along the runway.

A spokesperson says the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) at Williamtown has advised the airfield will reopen from midday Wednesday 24 March.

However, this remains subject to the weather conditions and will be regularly assessed.

All people booked or looking to fly before midday Wednesday should contact their airline for more information.
