A woman will face court in December after losing her license on Friday 16 October.
That evening Police were called to Hunter Street, Newcastle after reports from the public about a white Toyota Yaris driving erratically.
Police patrolled the area and located the vehicle a short time later on Union Street.
The vehicle was stopped and the 43-year-old driver was submitted to a breath test which provided a positive roadside result.
She was then taken to Newcastle Police Station where underwent a breath analysis which returned a reading of 0.283 (High Range PCA).
The driver had her licence suspended on the spot and was issued a Court Attendance Notice to appear before Newcastle Local Court in early December.
