A fire that engulfed a townhouse in Mayfield is suspected to have started from an e-bike battery.
Fire and Rescue NSW crews were called to Elizabeth Street just before 5.45pm on Wednesday, 9 September, after receiving multiple Triple Zero calls reporting a unit fire.
Firefighters arrived to find a two-storey townhouse and a row of adjoining townhouses fully engulfed in flames.
Fire and Rescue NSW Superintendent Aaron Ross said the volume and nature of the calls prompted multiple fire trucks to be dispatched to the scene.

After less than an hour, firefighters had contained the blaze and accounted for all residents.
Eight fire trucks and about 25 firefighters attended the incident, working alongside NSW Police and NSW Ambulance.
Crews at the scene suspected the fire had been caused by an e-bike battery.
The cause had not been formally confirmed by the Fire Investigations Unit.
Firefighters remained at the scene overnight and closed the job at about 6.30am on Thursday, 10 September.
