Drumroll please: Rogue Traders reunite for rare gig

SHARE

Novocastrians have an ideal opportunity to see one of Australia’s finest pop rock bands when they venture to the East Coast this week.

Natalie Bassingthwaighte and the Rogue Traders will take the stage at The Art House Wyong on Thursday 3 October.

The group dominated the national charts in the 2000s with smash hits like Voodoo Child and Don’t You Wanna Feel.

Reuniting after years apart to pursue solo projects, Nat Bass, James Ash, Tim Henwood and Cameron McGlinchey will perform all the top tracks from their four-time certified platinum album Here Come the Drums and maybe even a surprise or two.

Rogue Traders have sold more than one million records worldwide and toured both nationally and internationally.

The band’s been nominated for 10 ARIA Awards, three MTV Awards, one Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Award, one Inside Film Award and eight APRA Awards.

“The latest in a string of internationally-acclaimed acts to stop in at Wyong, it’s a huge win for the people of the Central Coast and Newcastle… and a testament to the dedication of The Art House team to delivering excellence,” executive director Anne-Marie Heath said.

“Live music has consistently been at the top of our audience’s wish list and the gang is constantly getting feedback on what acts people want to see on our stage.

“So, we’ve consciously been trying to deliver on that.

“This year alone, we’ve hosted David Campbell, Kate Miller-Heidke, Vika & Linda, Eskimo Joe, Macy Gray and Joe Camilleri & The Black Sorrows.

“Music-lovers should not miss this chance to see a festival-calibre act in the intimate setting of a 500-seat theatre, right close to home.”
