It will be alleged that when police went to pull the rider over, the motorcycle increased his speed to 200km/h, before stopping near Cromarty Lane.

The rider, a 19-year-old man, was arrested and taken to Nelson Bay Police Station, where he was charged with driving whilst disqualified, driving in a manner dangerous and exceeding the speed limit by more than 45km/h.
