High-profile local and national entertainers will descend on Port Stephens over the June long weekend for the Bluewater Country Music Festival.
Kicking off with the official launch party on Friday 7 June at Nelson Bay Bowling Club, the festival features a range of free and ticketed events across 16 venues, offering something for everyone.
These include a performance by Adam Eckersley and Brooke McCloymont at Nelson Bay Golf Club on the Friday night; an all-ages gig by X-Factor runner-up Jason Owen on Saturday 8 June at Broughtons at the Bay; Adam Harvey at Wests Diggers, also on Saturday 8 June; and an appearance by Adam Brand at Soldiers Point Bowling Club on Sunday 9 June.
This is in addition to live entertainment throughout the whole weekend, from 7 to 10 June, at D’Albora Marina and a Family Fun Day at Horizons Golf Club with music, food and free kids’ activities on Sunday 9 June.
Established in 2006, the Bluewater Country Music Festival, whose major sponsor this year is Port Stephens Toyota, is more than just great music.
The festival is also about promoting tourism, boosting local business and driving the local economy in the quieter winter months.
