The popular gathering attracted more than 250 visitors who were treated to sweet and savoury delights served by some of the school’s students.

Ms Russell presented the work of the Cancer Council, including statistics and transport for patients to their treatments, highlighting the organisation’s financial support for patients as well as the expanding services available.

The school’s Year Four strings ensemble played popular tunes to open the event, while students from Prep through to Year Four performed My Own Superhero, an uplifting song by Shawna Edwards.

ACC students helped out serving the school’s impressive morning tea fundraiser.

ACC principal Tim Shields said it was the school’s fourth time participating in Australia’s Biggest Morning tea.

“[It’s] a great opportunity to gather together, connect with each other as a local community and support the Cancer Council and their valuable work in our communities,” he said.

“We have raised in excess of $7,000 for the Cancer Council’s critical work in supporting those in our community with cancer, in particular regional communities.
