Lake Macquarie is set for a major upgrade within emergency care, with construction now starting on the new, Caves Beach Ambulance Station, following years of advocacy.

“This is what delivery looks like. As our community continues to grow, it is vital that we invest in the health infrastructure we need to support local families, especially at times of emergency.”

The new ambulance station will include:

· eight ambulance vehicle parking bays, including a dedicated wash bay

· administration and office areas

· staff amenities including a gym

· on-site parking

· logistics and storage facilities

Minister for Health Ryan Park has stated: “This new station will provide local paramedics with modern facilities designed to support them as they continue delivering high-quality emergency care.

“We’re building more ambulance stations and recruiting more paramedics in regional NSW, delivering faster response times and better outcomes for patients.”

The NSW Ambulance Infrastructure Program will deliver 30 new ambulance stations and supporting infrastructure across NSW including: Gateshead, North Rothbury, East Maitland, and Edgeworth. Over the coming years.
