Brunner Park looking its best

SHARE

Local families are rejoicing in East Branxton this week following the installation of a new playground at Brunner Park.

The upgraded facility is a welcome modernisation to the old equipment, which provided limited options for play.

Now, Cessnock City mayor Bob Pynsent urges residents to pop in and see it for themselves.

“The park looks great and will better meet the needs of families who want to take their children somewhere locally to enjoy play outdoors,” he said.

“The improvements at Brunner Park have involved upgrades to pathways to ensure better accessibility.

“Parents will also be pleased to know we have installed safety surfacing making for a much softer landing for the little ones who enjoy that extra little bit of adventure.”

Cr Pynsent said the project was completed by council’s Open Space and Community Facilities Landscape Construction Team.

“They continue to deliver high-quality infrastructure for the community,” he stated.

“The team will now focus on the beautification of Col Brown Rotary Park in Kurri Kurri.”
