Newcastle’s own fashion Queen Brittney Saunders made headlines this week after her unique outfit at Coachella caused a sensation.
The founder of FAYT The Label has been cataloguing her various looks for the popular festival with her day three outfit giving the impression she has a new side hustle.
In a now viral TikTok and Instagram clip with her comedy podcast co-host Matt Hey, the duo was seen wearing a full Bunnings staff uniform complete with red polo shirt, bucket hat and apron.
Both wore beige work shorts and brown boots to create an authentic ‘Bunnings look’.
“Guess which one of us was in charge of organising today’s outfit?” posted Saunders to her social channels as Hey stood in the background looking unimpressed.
“Coachella Day 3 outfit reveal!”
The fun post now has well over 800 thousand views on TikTok and more than one million views on Instagram, and was picked up by media outlets across Australia.
Comments from Saunders’ and Hey’s fans agreed this unique and unexpected ‘Aussie’ look was iconic.
“When the setlist’s good but the sausage sizzle is still better at Bunnings,” wrote one.
“Sadly, not the lowest prices on drinks,” added another in reference to Bunnings tagline and Coachella’s eye watering drinks’ prices.
With a third fan making a classic Bunnings themed reference: “You didn’t just nail this -you beat it by 10 per cent.”
After multiple requests from the pair and their loyal followers for a response from the Bunnings social media team, their in-house reply was perfect: “It must be Fayt,” shared Bunnings with a sausage sizzle and green heart emoji.
Saunders is well known in Newcastle as a successful content creator, former YouTuber and founder of FAYT the Label, an online clothing brand with stores across Australia.
Launching FAYT in 2018, Saunders quickly became known for her stylish and size inclusive designs.
She is also the co-host of the High Scrollers podcast with Matt Hey and has a book coming out later this year titled ‘Just Getting Started’.
