Another resident joins Hunter millionaire’s club

For the third time in the past fortnight, one lucky Hunter resident has joined the millionaire’s club.

On this occasion, an Edgeworth man picked up a cool $1 million playing Weekday Windfall on Wednesday 30 October.

It follows a Keno Classic 10 spot, worth $1,131,353.80, landing in Port Stephens, the day after a Toronto local walked away with a similar bounty.

The latest victor now plans to upgrade his worn-out wheels after scoring $1 million in the recent Weekday Windfall draw.

He held one of the two winning entries nationally.

But, as it was unregistered, officials from The Lott had no way of contacting the ticketholder, waiting for him to check his ticket and come forward.

“Thank you very much,” he laughed.

“I had no idea.

“I checked my ticket yesterday, but it was coming up with a strange message, so I thought it was a mistake.

“I went back in today and now I know the real reason it wasn’t making sense.”

With $1 million in his sights, the delighted winner is looking forward to parking a new car in his driveway.

“Well, it’s going to make life much easier,” he said.

“I’ll be able to buy a new car.

“I’m not sure what type but I certainly have a lot of options now.

“Thank you again.

“It’s now time to go home and relax.”

His winning entry was purchased from the Edgeworth Newsagency.

The numbers were 6, 11, 7, 35, 3 and 28, with the supplementaries 5 and 44.
