Police have laid 26 additional charges as part of an investigation into a fatal bus crash at Greta, which killed 10 people last year.
Just after 11.30pm on Sunday 11 June 2023, emergency services were called to the roundabout on Wine Country Drive near the Hunter Expressway off ramp after reports a coach had rolled.
At the time, there were 36 people onboard.
Sadly, Nadene and Kyah McBride, Andrew and Lynan Scott, Kane Symons, Rebecca Mullen, Darcy Bulman, Zach Bray, Tori Cowburn and Angus Craig died, while another 25 passengers were hospitalised.
Investigators charged the driver, 58-year-old Brett Andrew Button, with 18 offences.
He remains before the courts.
Now, following further investigations, an additional 26 offences were laid at court on Wednesday 17 January.
They include 10 counts of manslaughter and a further 16 counts of drive furiously in motor vehicle causing bodily harm.
The man, who remains on conditional bail, is due to appear at Newcastle Local Court on Wednesday 13 March.
Investigations into the circumstances surrounding the crash are ongoing.
