Detectives have seized cannabis, with an estimated street value of $650,000, following a raid on an Upper Hunter property this week.
Police attached to Hunter Valley Police District started an investigation into the cultivation of the drug, in the area, earlier in the year.
Then, about 9.30am on Tuesday 24 March, they – along with the Hunter Valley Proactive Crime Team – attended a home in Hunterview to execute a search warrant.

They located an elaborate hydroponic cannabis cultivation set-up.
Police also seized a total of 328 mature plants, as well as 78 seedlings, dried leaf and equipment.
The premises, found to be illegally connected to the power grid, was disconnected with the assistance of a utility provider.
As inquires continue, anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
