Kurri Kurri Newsagency has done it again, selling a winning first prize lottery ticket of $100,000. It comes just hours after another customer won $10,000 on an instant scratch-it. The lucky ticket holder, a regular player who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased the winning entry of five random numbers and won the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot. “I was just checking my emails and I saw it said I had won. I didn’t believe it, so I checked the draw results,” he explained. “I was a bit shocked when I realised I had won. It didn’t feel real. “It’s just incredible, it’s certainly a nice time to have a win.” When asked how he planned to enjoy his windfall, the thrilled winner said he wants to enjoy his prize for many years to come. “I would like to get a new car. I have no idea what type of car because it wasn’t something I have been looking for, but it is certainly something I could use,” he said. “The rest I will invest for the future. “Honestly, it’s a big relief. Everything’s been all up in the air with COVID-19, and so this just gives me some security.” Kurri Kurri Newsagency co-owner Yan Zhang said he was thrilled to see another customer win a major prize. “We are feeling very lucky,” he said. “They say good things come in threes so hopefully we sell another.” |
